Kristen Caporusso, MSc

Mental Performance Coach

I began my undergraduate journey at SUNY Canton, before transferring to Suffolk University, where I played varsity women’s hockey and was proud to be part of the program’s inaugural season. During that year, I earned multiple athletic awards and took on a captain role for the following season. These experiences helped shape my confidence both on and off the ice.

Following a strong first season, my role as a goaltender shifted from starting almost every game to having to now share the ice, presenting new mental challenges that pushed me to grow in ways I hadn’t experienced before. While studying psychology, I began to better understand the connection between mindset, performance, and identity. The abrupt end of my collegiate career due to COVID-19 was a difficult turning point, but it ultimately sparked my passion for sport psychology.

I went on to complete my Master’s degree in Sport and Exercise Psychology at the University of Portsmouth. I’ve been working as a mental performance coach for the past year and have coached hockey goaltenders since I was 16, blending technical development with a strong emphasis on mindset.

Today, I’m passionate about helping athletes build confidence, navigate pressure, and enjoy their sport while performing at their best.
